Hosted by the comedian Rachel Arieff, the show consists of some of the greatest "anti-stars" from Anti-Karaoke, plus other intriguing guests, who sing, dance, or do something else that's interesting and sometimes a little weird. .

One of the higher-energy shows to grace the Raval, Cabaret Degenerat is at the same time a decidedly low-fi event. Besides keeping audience laughing, Rachel accompanies the singers on an ancient upright piano; the crowd sings along and keeps the rhythm going with homemade percussion instruments; and some guest stars dance or bring some other type of performance to the stage.

The Macabra Bar (c/ Ferlandina, 55) in the Barcelona center is the perfect place to hold the Cabaret Degenerat. Besides a lovely antique upright piano, it also has proper tables and chairs for the audience, and serves good sandwiches and crepes at affordable prices (see menu below).
